Alice Stoeberl, aged 86, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024 in Fort Collins, CO. She was born on November 22, 1938 in Montello, WI to Rudy and Caroline Schinkel. She was married to Ralph Stoeberl until his death in April, 2002. Alice was a wonderful, caring mother and homemaker. She had many interests and was always keeping busy. In her younger years she loved camping, fishing and birding. She knew every bird just by their song. She was an amazing painter and loved to travel to new places as often as she could, many times even adventuring out on her own. She loved going to church and singing in the choir. She had a passion for gardening and always had the most beautiful flowers growing in her yard. She is survived by her brother, Bob Schinkel, her sister Dorothy Wise-Graef, her son, Andrew Stoeberl, her daughter, Kristine Struckhoff, and her two grandchildren, Zoey and Ralph who she adored and spoiled whenever she got the chance. Taking them for sneaky trips to McDonald's was their thing and if McRibs were in season she was there. We know she would love it if everyone drank a Wisconsin old fashioned in her honor and wear something blue to the service instead of all black.
Family, friends, and others are invited to Marks Funeral Home in Windsor, CO for a rosary service on Wednesday, November 27th at 2 pm. She will then be moved to her final resting place next to the love of her life, Ralph in St. Mary's Cemetery in Mundelein, IL. There will be a full funeral mass at the old St. Mary's Catholic church. The date for this is yet to be determined.
