Barbara Rakowski

Barbara Rakowski, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on August 17, 2023. She was born on August 5, 1934, and left a lasting impact on the lives of everyone she knew.

Barbara was a woman of many talents and interests. She had a passion for bowling and square dancing, always bringing joy and laughter to those around her. Her cooking skills were legendary; every meal she prepared was made with love and enjoyed by all. Barbara's culinary creations have left an indelible mark in the hearts and taste buds of her family and friends.

Growing up in the Springfield school district, Barbara received a solid education that has served as the foundation for her lifelong love of learning. Her thirst for knowledge was insatiable, and she was always seeking opportunities to expand her horizons.

Known for her incredible sense of humor, Barbara brightened every room she entered. Her funny anecdotes and contagious laughter brought endless joy to those fortunate enough to be in her presence. She had a selfless nature that shone through in every interaction - always putting others before herself and making sure everyone felt loved and cared for.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of many years, Rich Rakowski. Together, they built a life filled with love, support, and shared memories. Their bond was unbreakable, a true testament to their commitment and devotion.

She will forever be remembered by her sons: Mitchell Rakowski (Diane), Kent Rakowski, Tony Rakowski, Darren Rakowski; her daughters: Janie Campbell (Allen) and Robin; as well as her cherished grandchildren. Her legacy continues through nine great-grandchildren and even one great-great-granddaughter.

Barbara's parents Lloyd Ballard and Irene Symons have welcomed their daughter home in heaven. Additionally, she is now reunited with her daughter-in-law Martha and grandson Richard Rakowski Jr. Their memories will forever be cherished and their spirits will live on in the hearts of those who loved them.

A viewing to honor the life of Barbara Rakowski will take place on August 24, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Mark's Funeral and Cremation, located at 9293 Eastman Park Drive, Windsor, CO 80550. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share cherished memories, and bid a fond farewell to Barbara.
