Our dear mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Charlyne Kruger, danced into heaven on November 10, 2020. Charlyne was born on December 23,1940 in George, Iowa to Bertha Mae Block and Wallace Block. She married Lloyd King on April 11, 1959 and had five children: Randy, Kerry, Michelle, Brian, and Wendy. After Lloyd passed away, Charlyne married Ronald Kruger on May 15, 1968. Together they had a son, Monte.
Charlyne and Ron moved to Windsor, Colorado in September, 1971. Charlyne was a wonderful homemaker, mentor, and prayer warrior. She and her best friend, Donna, prayed weekly together for more than 50 years. Because Charlyne had such a heart for others, she loved to strike up conversations and pray with people she met, even if she didn’t know them. She also had a heart for her children’s friends, especially those who had lost their own mothers. People sought her out for Godly wisdom and her life experiences. To ensure her family had life experiences of their own, Charlyne would always make an effort to gather the family together for the holidays. Her grandchildren fondly remember her reading Easter stories, playing “Spoons,” and making them cups of “choffee”. She suffered many losses and had chronic spinal pain over the years, but she never lost her faith in God. She never stopped saying, “God is good!” We want those reading this to know that you can spend eternity with God. Please say this prayer:
Lord I’m not sure where I’ll go when I die. I want my sins forgiven, and I want Jesus to come into my heart and save me. I want to know God's love and sacrifice for me. Amen
Charlyne was preceded in death by first husband and love of her life Lloyd King, by her parents Bertha and Wallace Block, an infant son, Randy Lee, her second husband Ronald Kruger, and her brother, Keith Block. She is survived by her five children, daughter Kerry Heffner (Randell), daughter Michelle King, son Brian Kruger (Karen), daughter Wendy Kruger and son Monte Kruger (Mindi.) She is, also, survived by her sister Barb Rodriguez (Ralph), 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and longtime friend and prayer warrior Donna Winter.
