Dawn Denise Gould, 67, of Timnath, Colorado, passed away on May 28, 2021, after a brave and hard fought battle with brain cancer, she was surrounded by her friends and family.
Dawn, born on August 5, 1953, in Milwaukee, Minnesota, she immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Dawn went on to graduate from Central High School in 1971. She later went on to work until retirement in various capacities. She enjoyed every day of retirement and made the most of her time to do what she loved. She loved traveling, visiting family and friends, reading, knitting and making time to encourage others through, phone calls, cards or hand written letters.
In 1983, she met Jay Gould and the two were inseparable from that point on. Together they enjoyed traveling and wore out a couple of car chasing the girls around. Their greatest joy was seeing the girls grow instilling a sense of fairness, empathy and strength. Jay and Dawn were married for 37 years and together blended a family of five. Three children, Michelle Aurzada, Christine Scoffield and Samantha Hamilton.
Dawn was a fiercely dedicated wife and mom to her family. Family came first and was above all else to Dawn, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.
Dawn was predeceased by her mother and father and three siblings. She is survived by her husband, Jay Gould, Daughters, Michelle, Chris and Samantha, four grandchildren, Nicholas Aurzada, Adam Ratcliff, Harper Hamilton and Ainsley Hamilton. She is also survived by sisters, Carole Wayne, Lisa Lieder and brothers, Tom Lupton, Kirk Lieder, Kurt Lieder and Erich Lieder.
Services will be June 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Valley, in Windsor, Colorado followed by a Reception.
