Dina M Smith

September 30, 1969 — July 29, 2024

Windsor

Heaven gained an angel on July 29th, 2024, when Dina Marie Smith passed away peacefully while surrounded by loved ones after a heroic and inspiring battle with cancer.

Dina was born on September 30th , 1969, in Hackensack, New Jersey to Eugene and Jean Skiba. Dina graduated from Columbine High School in 1987 . She dedicated her life to children by directing and owning her own daycare center, and later worked as a reading interventionist in the local school districts. Dina and her husband, Bruce, share an everlasting love and have been married for 28 years. Together they raised two incredible boys that were the pride and joy of her life.

Dina’s passion extended beyond her life at work, as she fostered numerous puppies and litters of kittens and cherished her extensive collection of elephants. Her love for animals didn’t stop there as she leaves behind four precious Yorkies. She also submerged herself in the passions of her loved ones, watching more sporting events than you could possibly imagine.

Dina was beloved by all and will be remembered for her vibrant personality that brightened everyone’s life, her infectious positivity and her unwavering kindness.

Dina Smith is survived by her spouse, Bruce, her children, Ryan and Austin, her mother, Jean Skiba and her sisters, Donna Juranek and Dawn Shotwell. She is preceded in death by her father, Gene Skiba.

A memorial service will be held on August 5th at 6:30 PM at Mark’s Funeral & Cremation in Windsor, Colorado.

Please feel free to wear purple or pink as these were her favorite colors.
