Donna Feighny Yantis, 76, of Greeley, CO, died on Sunday, November 3, 2019.
Donna was born on September 20th, 1943 in Ovid, Colorado, to Lillie and Lavern Beal.
She graduated from high school in Julesburg, Colorado, and excelled at both classical piano and the clarinet. From Julesburg, she went on to study at Colorado Women's College and University of Colorado.
Her first marriage was to James Feighny. During her marriage to James, she became not only an Air Force Officer's wife, but a loving and caring mother to three children-James IV, Michael, and Shannon. Air Force life took her to Alabama, Florida, England, Nevada, and then back to Colorado. With each move, Donna created a loving, warm, and beautiful home environment for her family. Donna was a skilled ceramicist, and created many beautiful objects during these years that are now cherished by her family.
Donna’s second marriage was to Tim Yantis. During her years with Tim, Donna achieved great success as an agent at American Family Insurance. She loved her customers and treated all of them like family. Donna became an avid cyclist during this time, and completed many MS150 bike events to raise money for MS research. She also became a grandmother to 5 beautiful grandsons.
Donna is survived by her brother David Beal of Boulder, CO, her sons James Feighny IV of Providence, RI and Michael Feighny of Windsor, CO, her daughter Shannon Feighny of Tampa, Florida, and her five grandsons- Liam, Ian, Zachary, Kevin, and Kaleb.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lavern and Lillie, and her husband Tim Yantis.
The funeral service for Donna will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 18th at Cornerstone Community Church in Greeley, Colorado
