Dwane Dizmang passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the age of 79, in
Windsor, Colorado surrounded by his loving family. Dwane was born March
5, 1943 in Goodland, Kansas to Henry & Gladys Ackers.
Dwane went to school and grew up in Goodland, Kansas and went on to
graduate from Stevinson Auto & Electrical School in Kansas City, Missouri.
Dwane married Twila Lowry at the First Christian Church in Norton, Kansas
on November 27, 1966. They moved to Windsor, Colorado in March, 1967
where Dwane worked as an auto body man at Kennedy Chevrolet and later
worked at Eastman Kodak for 20 years.
Dwane had a major love of music. He loved to play the guitar and created
many fun memories while singing and playing. Whether it be spending time
around the campfire or teaching his kids funny songs while strumming in the
living room, everyone loved being around Diz. He could always be counted
on for a funny joke and to lighten the mood. He was notorious for his
hysterical one-liners. His love of fishing, cars, and his friends was only
surpassed by his love for his family.
Dwane was a member of the Windsor-Severance Volunteer Fire Department
for 20 years.
Dwane is survived by his loving wife Twila, daughter Jennifer (Rick) Dizmang-
Smith , and son Brian (Jessica) Dizmang, granddaughters (Alaina, Vivian,
Adelyn), sister Darlene Kirby, brothers Dick Dizmang and Dareld Dizmang,
and numerous extended family members.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters Mildred Laughlin, Irene
Johnson, Vera Lynn, Hazel Morton; Kate Musil; brothers Sam Dizmang, Carl
Dizmang, Lyle Dizmang.
