Elizabeth Castleberry

As the caterpillar turns into a beautiful butterfly and spreads her wings to fly, we grieve the loss of Elizabeth Ann Benefield Castleberry who received her wings on July 22, 2024 at the age of 74. She was a beloved Mother to Brandon (Josie) Castleberry, Danielle (Lane) Waller, and Charles Freitag; Grandmother to Milly Castleberry, Ky Castleberry, Jace Castleberry, Maya Castleberry, Shelby Castleberry (Tey Washington), and Gabe Wallace; and long time partner to Stan Castleberry. She is survived by her sister Rosetta (Dennis) Nybro, niece Lynda Nybro and nephew Chris Nybro. She is preceded by her mother Wilma Fern Benefield, Father Robert Casum (Gloria) Benefield, and brother Billy Benefield. 

She may be gone; but she will never be forgotten. With every butterfly we see or old song we hear, she will be remembered along with the advice she gave to keep a “Smile on our face and a melody in our heart!”
