John Randall Heppner
Born: December 15th, 1953 - Inman, KS, to Vada Marie (Becker) and Carl Wayne Heppner. John passed into the arms of Jesus peacefully June 19, 2024, with his wife, brother, and sister-in-law by his side.
John is survived by his loving wife Paula J. Heppner (Windsor, CO), Joseph (Jennifer) Hazard, Windsor, CO, Christopher Hazard, Fort Worth, TX, and Nicole (Paul) Buckle, Asheville, NC. Sister Ardith (Wayne) Mininger, Bastrop, TX, brother Russell (Bonnie) Heppner, Galeton, CO, as well as 8 grandchildren, various nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives.
John was preceded in death by both his parents.
John was in the lawn care business with his brother in the 1970's. He and his brother had a passion for flying. They both became pilots and certified Airframe and Engine mechanics. In 1984, John and his brother purchased Poulsen Ace Hardware in Eaton, CO from Bob Quick. They grew the business into what it is today while endeavoring several other business ventures together over the years.
In 1991, John received a liver transplant due to the effects of lawn pesticides. He had many health challenges over the next 33 years, most of which were overcome by his tenacity to live, his love of family and life, and his faith in the good Lord.
John loved his family well, he loved God, and he was a kind man. He will be sorely missed.
