Joyce Marion (Hamilton) Hutton of Sterling, Colorado passed away on March 2, 2022. Joyce was born to Wesley and Mabel Hamilton on May 27, 1939, and graduated from Merrill High School in Iowa. Joyce married Marlin Gene Hutton on September 18, 1964, in Merrill, Iowa, and they went on to have three children together. Joyce and Marlin resided in Craig, Iowa until 1984 before moving to Windsor, Colorado where she stayed until 2021. Joyce worked at Spurgeons in LeMars, Iowa until she moved to Colorado where she obtained work at Walmart in Greeley and worked there for twenty years until she retired.
Joyce enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting, camping, fishing, watching the Colorado Rockies, playing cards, and bingo. Joyce is survived by her children; Julie (John) Rhine of Sterling, Colorado; Janelle Brethauer of Phoenix, Arizona, and Janet (Michael) Shultz of Windsor, Colorado. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, William “Bill” and Mary Hamilton of Las Vegas, Nevada; her sister-in-laws’, Coralie Vande Mheen of Apache Junction, Arizona and Roberta Williams of Burwell, Nebraska along with several nieces and nephews. Joyce had seven grandchildren: Mitchell Rhine, Zane Rhine, Andrew Brethauer, Cameron Brethauer, Connor Brethauer, Hunter Shultz, and Avery Shultz. Joyce was proceeded in death by her husband Marlin Gene Hutton, her parents Wesley and Mabel Hamilton, her parent in-laws Nelson and Clara Hutton along with Fern and Gene Heck (sister and brother-in-law), Myron “Red” and Carol Hutton (brother-in-law and sister-in-law), Nelson “Swabby” Hutton (brother-in-law), Barbara Eye (sister-in-law), Gilbert “Van” Vande Mheen (brother-in-law), Dale and Arlene Schultz (sister-in-law and brother-in-law), Chuck Williams (brother-in-law); and Eugene and Cecilia Hutton (brother-in-law and sister-in-law).
