Justin played soccer from the age of five to the age of twenty-five when injuries forced him to leave the beloved sport behind. As a soccer player, Justin played defense and dominated in the sweeper position up through the semi-pro level with the Sioux Falls Spitfire. Justin later took up competitive running completing many 5Ks, six half-marathons and five full marathons with his final race being the Boston Marathon this past April. Justin loved to be active and being outdoors was his favorite therapy. Justin faced many challenges throughout his life but was a fighter who never gave up on being the best person he could. During nighttime prayers, Justin routinely asked for help to “do better tomorrow than he did today”.
