G Kyle Smith

If you ever met Kyle, you loved him from the start! A vibrant smile and cheerful attitude towards life that was infectious. You also found out quickly he went to Penn State, an honor he always shared. Within minutes you would also know he was from Ferndale Michigan (held up his hand like a mitten to show you what area), that he taught at Johns Hopkins for a bit, did sales for the glass industry for many years, won many many National Racquetball championships and was a sponsored player. More recently he would share his new loves in Colorado of substitute teaching at Windsor High School, being a ranger at Highland Hills golf course and a site director in the summer for Triple Crown Baseball. Kyle was a huge sports fan, was very outgoing and loved the Windsor community.

Soon conversation would turn to what he loved more than words could ever convey….his family. Kyle married Ava on Valentines Day in 2010 on the courthouse steps in San Antonio (that is another story) and they share 3 adorable furry children. We know he told you about his favorite, Ike, a giant schnoodle.

His greatest joy came in bragging about his sons, sister and their families. Eldest son is Kyle Steven (Wyoming, MI), wife Jodie and grandchildren KT and Morgan. Younger son Andrew (Caledonia, MI), wife Kathy and grandchildren Ellie and Mitchell. Baby sister Sandy Smith (Houston), nieces Heidi Bragg, husband Don, (Houston TX) and Holly Holmes (Houston, TX).

To the amazing extended family and many friends he played racquetball ball with, golfed, went on Man-Ventures, enjoyed on the field with Triple Crown, chatted over the fence with, worshiped with….especially John B, Kenny F, Robert R, Mike M, the Greely RBall gang and others….your friendship priceless and were all loved.

A private family memorial will be held in Wyoming, MI. Date to be determined.
