Lane Casteel (M)

Lane Michael Casteel, Age 30, of Greeley, CO., died July 16, 2021.

He was born, May 8, 1991, in Greeley to Suzanne Casteel. His early school years were in Windsor, CO., and after moving to Sterling, he graduated from High School through a GED program with Northeastern Junior College in Sterling.

During his teenage years, he traveled during several summers with his Grandfather Casteel and Uncle Ed Casteel to Mexico. He worked various odd jobs, in restaurants and construction, throughout his life. Lane was a fan of NASCAR. He enjoyed time spent with his Grandfather Casteel on a fishing trip in Canada, and local fishing and camping trips in Colorado. His hobbies were tattooing and sketching.

Lane is preceded in death by his grandmother, Patricia Casteel; uncle, Edward Casteel; cousins Becky Kauffman and Cody Casteel.

Lane is survived by his mother, Suzanne Casteel of Greeley; grandfather, Richard Casteel of Greeley; uncle, Dan Casteel of Greeley; and fiancé, Nicole Buderus of Milliken.

Recitation of the Rosary will be July 29, 2021, at 1:30 pm, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00pm at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 1250 7th Street, Windsor, CO.
