Larry Jacoby, born on April 1, 1944, in Windsor, Colorado, peacefully passed away on October 19, 2023, in his beloved hometown. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends during his final moments.
Larry was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft. He spent many years working alongside his father and brother on the family farm until 1987. Later, Larry took on a new challenge and spent 17 years as a dedicated driver for Bestway Concrete, maneuvering the roads with skill and precision.
His education was rooted in Windsor High School, where he gained knowledge that would shape him into the remarkable individual he became. Larry was forever grateful for the opportunities education had provided him.
Larry's life was defined by his unwavering spirit and commitment to those he held dear. Sharon Jacoby was Larry's loving wife who stood by his side through thick and thin. Their bond was unbreakable, providing strength and love throughout their journey together. Lonny Jacoby Karst, Kristin and Scott Jacoby were immensely proud to call Larry their father.
Larry was preceded in death by his father JH "Jake" Jacoby Jr. and mother Pauline Jacoby. Their presence in his life undoubtedly shaped the exceptional man that he became, his brother Norman Jacoby, whose memory will endure through Larry's enduring spirit. Larry was also preceded in death by his loving wife Sharon Jacoby, their love stood as a shining example to those fortunate enough to witness it, Larry's children, Lonny Jacoby Karst and Kristin Jacoby, who were blessed to call him their father.
In addition to his immediate family, Larry leaves behind a legacy of treasured friendships that enriched every aspect of his life. Scott Jacoby was not just Larry's son but also a trusted friend who shared many adventures together. Scott's wife Jackie brought laughter and joy to Larry's life. Grandsons Derek and Gunnar Jacoby brought an extra sparkle to Larry's eyes, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Outside of work, Larry found solace in various hobbies and interests. His faith was a foundation that anchored him, and he was an active member of the Faith United Church of Windsor. The FFA (Future Farmers of America) allowed him to pass down his agricultural knowledge to future generations. Larry also enjoyed being part of the Windsor Saddle Club, where he could indulge in his love for riding horses. Golf provided him with a serene escape from the hustle of daily life. He enjoyed watching his hometown teams, the Denver Broncos, Rockies, and Nuggets.
To honor and celebrate Larry's remarkable life, memorial services will be held on October 27, 2023. The Memorial Service will take place at 10:00 AM at Faith Church of Windsor located at 1020 Walnut St, Windsor, Colorado. Following the service, a Graveside Service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery at 11:15 AM, located at 32815 CO-257, Windsor, Colorado.
Larry Jacoby was a man who lived life passionately and left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing him. His warmth, humor, and kindness will always be remembered. As we gather to bid farewell to our beloved Larry, let us celebrate his legacy and find solace in the beautiful memories he has left behind.
Larry may no longer be physically present among us, but his spirit will forever live on in our hearts. He taught us the importance of hard work, love for family and friends, and never taking life for granted. May his soul find eternal peace, and may we strive to live our lives with the same zest and determination that he exemplified. Larry Jacoby will be deeply missed but fondly remembered as a beloved husband, father, brother, son, grandfather, and friend.
