Margaret “Marge” Irene Midkiff, 83, of Windsor, passed away April 8, 2019, at her residence.
Marge was born July 23, 1935, to Peter and Irene (Wilk) Bomba in Hammond, Indiana. She graduated from George Rogers Clark High School in Whiting, Indiana.
She worked at Lever Bros in Whiting following high school. Marge and her husband, Robert Midkiff, moved to Grand Lake in 1969 where they owned and operated a lodge and restaurant. They moved to Windsor in 1977 where they owned and operated The Border Restaurant. She enjoyed cooking, birdwatching and gardening. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved her dog “Spencer.”
Marge is survived by her children; Kenny Midkiff of Evans, Leslie (James) Buck of Windsor, Dana (Jim) Pitner of Ault, and Michael (Tiffanie) Midkiff of Windsor; and her sister Monica Bomba-Horan of Clifton, Virginia; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Barbara Bomba; husband Robert Midkiff; and grandson Jesse Johnson.
A celebration of Marge’s life will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 12, at Timberline Church Windsor, 360 E Crossroads Blvd Windsor, CO 80550.
