Dora Medina

August 24, 1929 — March 20, 2021

Maria “Dora” Aurora Medina, 91, of Greeley, passed away March 20, 2021, at her home.
She was born August 24, 1929, to Leonardo and Evelyn (Tafoya) Avila in Gill.
On July 9, 1951, she married Alexander Medina in Cheyenne. They moved to Windsor in 1974 where she worked for Kodak for 18 years, North Colorado Medical Center for two years, and as a janitor and a cook for several years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Windsor. Maria enjoyed gambling, playing cards, and bingo.
Maria is survived by her children, Bob (Angie) Medina, Annabel (Val) Hernandez, Helen (Fred) Gonzales, Hope (Steve) Garcia, Frank (Maricella) Medina, Patricia (Hugo) Flores, Alex Jr. (Annette) Medina, Margaret (Carlos) Zarate, and Kathy Medina; siblings Dorothy Gallegos, Mary Martinez, Flora Olmeda, Matilda Sanchez, Virginia Reiz, and Edward Avila; 23 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husband, Alexander Medina; brother Edward Avila; and her parents Loenardo and Evelyn Avila.



Rosary will be held at 10:30 March 31, 2021 followed a Memorial Mass will be held on March 31, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 1250 7th St., Windsor.
