Mark Nathan Bement, age 31, of Windsor, CO, passed away on July 5, 2021 in Los Angeles, CA.
Mark was born on August 14, 1989 in Boulder, CO to Kristie and Greg Bement. Mark’s family moved to Windsor when he was three years old. He attended Frontier Academy, Greeley, Mt. View Elementary, Windsor Middle School and Windsor High School where he graduated in 2008.
Mark was very active in choir, soccer and wrestling while in the middle school and high school. He was also a lifeguard at two of the Windsor pools for three summers during high school. Mark attended Adams State, Aims Community College and Front Range Community College and was studying horticulture.
Mark loved animals and working with plants. He enjoyed playing frisbee golf, scuba diving, fishing, exploring the beauties of CO and being with his family and friends.
Mark is preceded in death by his father Greg Bement, his grandfather Russell Bement, and his grandmother Betty Wendorf.
He is survived by his mother Kristie Bement Stockman and his step father Jim Stockman of Graeagle, CA; his brothers, Michael Bement of Evans, CO and Matthew Bement of Clearwater, FL; grandfather, Jim Wendorf of Prescott, AZ; grandmother, Delta Bement of Boulder, CO; aunt Liz Smith of Phoenix, AZ, uncle and aunt Steve and Krista Lee Bement of Boulder, CO; aunt and uncle Laurie and Randy Brown of Gilbert, AZ; uncle and aunt Jimmy and Hitomi Wendorf of Fort Madison, IA; uncle and aunt Thomas and Shera Wendorf of Prescott, AZ; and cousins, Jordan Smith of Parker, CO, Caitlin Roberts of Monticello, FL, Elisa of Galloway, Ohio, Marianne Meiners of Minneapolis, MN, Jenni Bement of Farmingham, MA., Carrissa Logan of Rexburg, ID, Chandler Brown of Grapevine, TX, Joshua Brown of Albuquerque, NM, Taylor, Savannah and Grant Wendorf of Grapevine, TX, Aidan Wendorf of Ft. Madison, IA.
Graveside services for immediate family will be held on August 27th at 9:30 at the Windsor Cemetery.
Memorial services for Mark’s family and friends will be held on August 27th at 10:30 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 500 Hillspire Dr., Windsor, CO. After the service, light refreshments will be served in the cultural hall for family and friends to visit and remember Mark.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to one of the local homeless shelters of your choosing.
