McKaley Ann Phillips, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 34. Born on September 24, 1990, McKaley led a life rich with passion, love, and inspiring strength that touched everyone who knew her.
Raised in a nurturing environment, McKaley was an exceptional student, graduating from Montgomery High School in 2009. She continued her education at Colorado State University and further pursued her culinary passion at the Escoffier Culinary School in Boulder. Her commitment to nutrition and wellness culminated in her role as the Director of Nutrition for the Weld Re-J 9 School District, where she dedicated herself to promoting healthy lifestyles within the community.
Strong and independent, McKaley was an old soul with an inspiring fighting spirit. Her personality shined brightly as she embarked on adventures, whether reading a captivating book, exploring the wonders of nature while camping or hiking, or baking delightful treats in her kitchen. She shared a deep love for traveling, creating unforgettable memories with her cherished family. McKaley's affinity for dogs was notable, and she adored her companions JJ, Buster, Scout, and Rogue.
McKaley found the love of her life in Jake Phillips the two married May 2016. Together the couple had 2 handsome young boys Wade (7) Reid (5), they quickly became her pride and joy, and she took immense pride in being a devoted mother to them. McKaley's greatest accomplishments were undoubtedly her children, whom she loved fiercely. Alongside her loving husband, Jake Phillips, they crafted a warm home filled with laughter and joy.
Surviving McKaley are her loving family members, including her parents, Scott and Angel Vion and John and Krista Alley. She is also survived by her brother, Litten Alley and sister-in-law, Morgen Alley; her in-laws, Dale and Susie Phillips; her brother-in-law, Mike Phillips, and sister-in-law, Elaine Phillips; her niece, River Alley, and her nephew, Ozzie Alley, along with aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored her deeply.
She joins her beloved grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa Vion, in eternal peace.
McKaley Ann Phillips will be remembered not only for her remarkable achievements but for her unwavering love and loyalty to her family. Her legacy will live on through the hearts she touched, the lessons she imparted, and the memories that will forever warm her family's hearts. As we remember McKaley, let us cherish her spirit, celebrate her life, and continue her fight for what matters most: love, family, and wellness.
