On June 11th, 2019 Mike DeMuth (62) was bested by a cancer he had been fighting for 3 ½ years, leaving behind his wife Karen of 33 years and two grown sons, Luke and Tyler DeMuth. Mike is survived by his siblings, Pat, Lynn and Sue and niece and nephews Caitlin, Matt, Peter, and Kyle. While the cancer may have taken his life far too soon, Mike gave it a run for the money. Throughout the exhaustive treatment process and countless appointments Mike never let his sense of humor wane and was forever grateful for the incredible work of the tireless nurses, doctors and staff helping guide the battle from day one. No matter the situation he always saw the glass half-full and refused to let cancer get in the way of a wild fishing excursion, camping trip, concert or shootin’ the breeze with family, friends and strangers alike. Tossing horseshoes in the alleyway, playing frisbee at the park or building homes he could always find a way to stoke the fire of those around him. He will be greatly missed and leaves a void in the hearts of the many lives he’s touched; particularly family. May we never forget the passion, determination or family first ethic that set him apart from the rest. His zest for life is unmatched and this is just the beginning of yet another long strange trip…."
