Nancy Lee Schutt, 78, of Windsor, passed away on Nov. 15, 2019, at Medical Center of the Rockies. Nancy was born Nov. 21, 1940, in Chicago to Fred and Dolores Sticken. She graduated from East Leyden High School and attended Northern Illinois University. She worked in customer service at Sears Warehouse, Chicago Display, Slee Corp, and Crystal Edge over the course of her career.
On April 4, 1963, she married Richard Schutt in River Grove, Illinois. They enjoyed 56 wonderful years of adventures together, raising two sons in River Grove. Nancy enjoyed traveling, hiking, and being outdoors. She and Richard retired and moved to Colorado in 2006, in order to be closer to their grandchildren. She was a dedicated grandmother who loved attending her grandchildren’s concerts, sporting events and other activities. She also loved celebrating the holidays and did so many things to make them special for her family, baking special treats and taking the time to honor family traditions and pass them on to her grandchildren. She also volunteered for the Weld County Food Bank and as an usher at the Union Colony Civic Center.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Richard Schutt; sons Derek (Alison) and Brad (Kim) Schutt; her four grandchildren Katie, Joshua, Ryan and Lauren Schutt; and her sister, Janet Monroe. She is a beloved aunt, cousin, sister-in-law and friend to many.
