Paul Henry LeFort

July 15, 1942 — September 17, 2021

Paul Henry “Butch” Lefort, 79, of Windsor, passed away on September 17, 2021. He was born on July 15, 1942 in Topeka, Kansas to Octave and Maryanna Lefort. He married Lena Sanchez on July 5, 1962 in Dodge City, Kansas. They had two sons, Vance and Evan. In 1977 the family moved to Loveland, before moving to Windsor in 1995.

Paul worked from a very young age throughout his whole life. He had a strong work ethic, which he passed on to both of his sons. He was a survivor and was what some would describe as “old school”. Paul enjoyed people and as those who were around him can attest, he was a talker and rarely at a loss for words. He loved cooking out on his grill, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a Kansas City Chiefs fan and liked watching the Colorado Rockies and Denver Nuggets. Paul; Butch; Book; Grandpa Bookie will be lovingly missed by his family and friends.

Paul is survived by his son, Vance, daughter-in-law, Kelly and grandchildren, Jonah and Tavia of Fort Collins; and sister, Ramona Prater of Muskogee, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lena; his son, Evan; his parents, Octave and Maryanna Lefort; and sisters Delorse Morris, Roberta McGrew, and Mary Lou Thelander.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Paul at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 28 at Timberline Church, 2908 South Timberline Road in Fort Collins. Reception to follow the service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Timberline Church or Plum Creek Church.
