Ronald D Flack

Ronald Daniel Flack, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on June 25, 2024. He is now reunited with his beloved Linda and rests in the presence of his Heavenly Father. Ron was born on April 25, 1947, in Sheridan, WY, to Daniel and Edna Flack. He attended high school in Pavilion and Riverton, WY, where he excelled as an athlete and always took the opportunity to “raise a little hell.” On February 17, 1968, Ron married his high school sweetheart, and together they celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2018. They began their journey together in Casper and Cheyenne, WY, where they established Flack Outdoor Advertising and ran it successfully for 25 years. In 2004, they relocated to Fort Collins, CO, to be closer to family, and Ron purchased Ptarmigan Country Club, adding another successful venture to his legacy. Beyond his business achievements, Ron was a devoted and competitive coach to his sons in their youth. He played a mean game of competitive basketball, knew how to take advantage of “Double or nothing” in golf and gambling, and he loved the University of Wyoming sports teams. Ron is survived by his sons and their wives, Roger and Lana of Timnath, CO, and Ryan and Toni of Windsor, CO; six grandchildren, Taryn (Ethan), Jarret (Hannah), Jacob, Tatum, Ryan, and Thomas; and his first great-grandson, Declyn. Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; his parents, Daniel and Edna; and his cherished older sister, Nancy Kraft. Trying to condense Ron’s lifetime into a written memorial feels like trying to capture an ocean in a single drop - an impossible task. His journey as a businessman, as a father and husband, the countless fun memories of him, and the multitude of his crazy escapades with Linda simply won’t “fit”. He was charismatic and larger than life. And so, this simple summary only scratches the surface of who Ron was and the profound effect he had on us all. While he will be greatly missed, we find comfort knowing that he is finally able to breathe easy.  A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 12, at Clearwater Church, 2700 South Lemay Avenue, Fort Collins, CO, with a reception immediately following at Ptarmigan Country Club, 5416 Vardon Way, Fort Collins, CO.
