With amazing grace and the love of Jesus in her heart, our kind, sweet, loving mother, Ruby Doris Lind provided another bright light in heaven, on January 6, 2022, exactly one month from
her 92nd birthday. Ruby was born on February 6, 1930, to William and Mary Haas. Ruby was raised on a farm with two brothers, Bill and Glen and two sisters Norma and Joan. Growing
up on the farm was the start of a long and beautiful life.
Ruby married her high school sweetheart, Robert Lind on June 1, 1952, in Windsor, Colorado. From this union came four daughters, Cathy, Doris, Bobbie (Tom) Wochenske, and Andrea
(Kirk) Starck. She was the best mom ever! She loved sewing our matching dresses, attending sports and school activities, and helping dad with all his house remodels. Playing bridge with her buddies, bowling, softball, and being a mother to our friends as a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader were some of her spare time activities.
After a long career at Hewlett Packard, she spent her golden years loving up her beautiful grandchildren, Leah (Mike) Miller, Tyler and Jordan Wochenske, Dillon Starck, and two New York great granddaughter beauties, Danielle and Brianna Miller.
She loved to travel and vacationed in Hawaii, Cancun, and Vegas. She made several trips to see her Wisconsin grandchildren.
She discovered her love of art and painting and spent many hours with her Century III friends creating seasonal crafts, telling jokes, and sometimes sipping a little glass of happiness.
There was no bigger sports fan. She watched every Bronco, Rockies, and Packers games. She even developed a love of hockey and was a regular viewer of the Avalanche.
Her life was long and full of so many riches. Her most cherished possessions, who will miss her dearly are her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all her friends.
Proceeding her in death is daughter Doris, brothers Bill and Glen, sisters Norma Alles and Joan Taupier.
Celebration of Ruby’s life will be held Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Church of Windsor.
