Samantha “Sam” Nicole Williams, 21, of Gill, passed away on June 2, 2021.
She was born May 30, 2000, to Matt and Linette (Duncan) Williams in Denver. She was raised in Erie and attended Niwot High School.
Sam worked with animals her whole life, including Horses, Hermit Crabs, Salamanders, Fish, Ducks and Dogs. She loved them all. Sam got her first job at 15 with dogs at a boarding and daycare facility in Boulder, which sparked an intense interest in dog behavior. After studying canine genetics and nutrition for just over two years, Sam became incredibly passionate about training dogs, so she spent some time studying in Colorado and New Mexico. She most recently worked at Mountainwood Pet Hospital in Windsor. Sam had also worked as a decoy for competition dogs and loved her times doing “bite work.” She was interested in dog rescue and had adopted many rescue animals. Samantha worked hard and always followed her passions.
She is survived by her parents, Matt and Linette Williams; and siblings Jennifer and Nicholas.
A time of sharing and remembrance will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 19, at 320 County Road 16 ½, Longmont, CO 80504 Please RSVP to Linette Williams at 303-961-8359. The family requests attendees bring a folding chair.
