Valerie Ellen Miller passed away peacefully on May 8 surrounded by love with her family at her side.
Valerie was born January 3, 1948, in Ventura, California. She spent most of her childhood in Oxnard, California.
After achieving her Master’s Degree she worked as a Human Resources Director for the United States Navy. During this time, she lived in San Francisco and San Diego.
Upon her retirement she joined her four siblings and moved to Northern Colorado. There she met her husband, Robert Kinne. She truly enjoyed living at their ranch at the base of the Rocky Mountains. She treasured her time there with Bob, their horses, dogs and cats.
Valerie was extremely creative and enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, wildlife photography, birding, cooking, reading and watching crime dramas. She was always interested in learning new things and going on to the next adventure.
Valerie was so loved by all who were close to her. She had a positive effect on everyone. She will be dearly missed.
Valerie was preceded in death by her father Thomas Miller and her mother Ellen Miller. She is survived by her husband Robert Kinne, her sisters Teresa Barker, Susan Orozco (Nick), Stacie Miller Stocks (Mark) and her brother Michael (Nancy) along with many nieces and nephews all of which she treasured.
