Vicky Reid

Vicky Maxine (Bradford) Reid was born to Orland (Max) and Virginia Bradford, and her older brother, Dennis, in San Diego, California on August 11, 1958. As a toddler, she and her family moved to Portales, New Mexico, as her father began his ministry as an itinerant preacher. Thereafter, the family traveled and lived extensively through New Mexico, Colorado, and California, where her father ministered to numerous congregations of the Church of Christ in those states. Vicky’s immediate family ultimately settled back in the Los Angeles, California area, where her father and the family supported the Rose Avenue Congregation of the Church of Christ there for the rest of his ministerial career.

She met and married Joel Reid in November, 1992, and their son, Jesse, was born in 1995. Vicky and Joel became the proud, adoring grandparents of Selena in 2020, and Jackson in 2022, both of whom who live with their parents, Jesse and Tiffany, in San Tan Valley, Arizona.

In 2019, Vicky and Joel moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado, where both fell in love with the beauty and grandeur of Colorado. They settled in the community of Bellvue, Co. They were happily married, wherever they were, enjoying each other and their life together for 32 years.

Vicky is remembered best as a loving, kind, quiet, compassionate, gentle, caring, creative person. She loved and doted on her grandchildren, sharing herself unsparingly with them and their parents. She was awesomely creative and artistic – loving sewing, crocheting, needlepointing, card-making, jewelry-making -- there was nothing she could not make or create beautifully!! She also loved traveling, especially around Colorado and the West, spending as much time as she could outside, marveling at nature and her surroundings. Above all, Vicky prioritized living as a faithful Christian in everything that she did her entire life.

Vicky passed from this life on February, 19, 2025 after courageous battles with health issues. She is survived and terribly missed by her husband, Joel, her son, Jesse, daughter-in-law, Tiffany, grandchildren, Selena and Jackson, father-in-law, Clarence Reid (of Grand Junction, Co.) and sister-in-law, Patty Reid (of San Diego). Her beloved parents and brother, Max, Virgina, and Dennis predeceased her. Vicky did what she could – always – and it was enough!
